Community Outreach Programme 2024
Kildare Credit Union is delighted to announce that the Community Outreach Programme will operate again in the financial year 2024. The Programme was introduced in 2016 and almost €160,000 has been distributed between local voluntary organisations over the last 8 years for many diverse projects.
The Brigid 1500 festival which promises a unique blend of tradition and innovation is set to take place in Kildare in 2024. The festival aims to bring the community together to commemorate the life and teachings of St. Brigid. In the spirit of honouring St. Brigid’s legacy and supporting its aim of bringing the community together, the Board of Directors have allocated an additional €5,000 to the community outreach programme for 2024 for projects and events associated with St. Brigid.
Projects that focus on climate change and how we can reduce the carbon footprint in our community will be given priority when considering how to distribute the remaining €20,000 fund.
If you or your organisation would like to apply for sponsorship or funding for an upcoming event, please read the information leaflet and complete the application form.
We are open to accepting completed applications forms from now until the end of March 2023. The applications will be assessed by the Board of Directors in April and all applicants will be contacted thereafter. St. Brigid related applications will be considered as they are received.
